The story begins in 2023 on the 57th birthday of a married plumber, living a simple existence in the country. His life was that of routine and many regrets over bad decisions made in his life. With a minimal social life, in his spare time, becomes enthralled with the 1960’s and 1970’s British and Californian music scene. His main fascination was the music business and the friendships between musicians from distinctive bands of the time. The Beatles were the protagonists first focus of research. After that, his research turned to Led Zeppelin, Freddy Mercury and the brothers of Van Halen. He becomes an expert on 60, 70 and 80’s music history.

Suffering from anxiety over financial hardships and a failing mariage our protagonist had a somewhat
neurotic disposition within his own mind, frequently talking to himself when no one was around. Despite this, he was very smart and well liked by everyone he met or knew. The day after his 57th birthday, our protagonist wakes up in an unusually groggy state. After some discovery within his room, finds himself in 1957 Liverpool, England, yet, fully aware of his 57yr past and things to come.

Within the fancy Adelphi hotel, the room he awoke, finds a briefcase containing eighty thousand in cash and documents which indicate he had just inherited millions in real estate and bank accounts. That coming from his parents who died only a few months prior. The protagonist has also discovered he now occupies a charismatic looking, new, 20 year old body, who he believes had overdosed shortly before his own
consciouses entered. (details in the screenplay).

The very same night he arrives, still confused, decides to go into town and finds himself at a pub where he meets the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. She takes a liking to him and introduces him to her friends, one of whom is Pete Shotton, John Lennon’s best friend at the time.

Once back in his hotel suite, the protagonist realizes with the money he has, can make a positive
difference in the music industry. His knowledge of how greedy managers and executives pillaged the Beatles, and many other bands of the time, infuriated the protagonist! This is when he decides he will become the savior of rock musicians.

Our protagonist and the woman he met, fall in love. Their first date happens to be at a church fair where the protagonist ends up introducing John Lennon and Paul McCartney, inserting himself into history.
The protagonist endears himself further to John Lennon by altering history again, saving John Lennon’s mother from being hit and killed by a drunk driver. The protagonist, with his love interest, rents a house in the same neighborhood where the Beatles live. Becoming close friends, the future Beatles rehearse everyday in the protagonist’s attached garage, honing their skills. As a wealthy benefactor, he cements his friendship and mentorship with the Beatles as they rise to fame. Over lapping friendships are made with Jimi Page (Led Zeppelin), Freddy Mercury, and eventually Eddie and Alex Van Halen, all through the story.

Knowing all the components that launched the Beatles and other rock groups, the protagonist starts his own record label in London, “Revolution Records”. With his girlfriend’s help—the only one who knows he’s from the future—persuades all the managers and engineers who initially contributed to the bands success, to come work for him. Most everything else still happens as it originally did.

Along the way, lavish parties, dinners, concerts, conflict and vacations are had with various music icons. Well respected, our protagonist helps his musical friends with internal struggles and fame, forming life long friendships.

Dubbed the Sovereign of Rock our protagonist goes on to save the lives of John Bonham, John Lennon,
Jimmi Hendrix and others. A notable scene is how our protagonist convinces the Beatles to do a reunion tour while in their 60’s.

Knowing who will be world wide rock stars, he has an irrefutable edge, and his record label becomes the biggest, most succesful in the world.

As time goes by, living his best life, its 2023 again, and at the age of 85, is inducted into the rockin roll hall of fame for his contribution to the industry. It would be the first time in history a non-musician would receive such an award.

After a wonderful night of accolades the protagonist and his wife retire to George Harrison’s home in Malibu. When he wakes up the next morning, he finds himself back where it all began. A 57 year old plumber living in the country. He cries over the loss of his wife and friends.

Was it all a dream? After telling his now wife what had happened, she didn’t believe a word of it. For her, it was the next day, for the protagonist, 65 years had gone by. Not untill he googles the name of his former self and the musicians he helped, discovers that somehow, it really happened. Musicians who were supposed to be dead are still alive. The Beatles (all four) recently had a reunion concert, and Freddy Mercury is still making music with Queen.

That night on the news, there’s an announcement: “The great Jake Fantastic, dies at 85”! After receiving the life time achievement award at the Rockin Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies last night… Jake Fantastic died peacefully in his sleep. He was the back bone of the music industry and will be sorely missed.

The story ends a week later with our protagonist walking down to his mailbox after a hard day plumbing. Going through his mail, spots, and opens an official looking letter from a Manhattan law firm. Inside he finds a certified bank check, made out to him in the amount of $59,631,438.32 and a personal note from his alternate self.

The note is dated, May 22nd, 1966 (the day and year of his birth), and reads:

You’ve never met me, but I am you.
I hope this helps with the mess you got yourself into.
Remember… in life, your happiness walks hand in hand
with the decisions you make! Don’t blow it!

Cheers mate!

      1. I didn’t think anyone was reading this, except me and my friend who helped me set up this blog. I didn’t even know this page was live.

Thanks for your compliment and encouragement.

I had my story “Sovereign of Rock” copyrighted and sent the summary to a few producers and agents in the UK, and had a great response. I was asked to turn it into a screenplay for a TV series, which is what ive been working on.

I took down my personal memoirs because there were some names I forgot were in them, and don’t want to hurt anyone.

        Thanks… Time Pilot
